SEEING THE KNICKS PLAY IN DENVER

It's been a long time since I went to an NBA basketball game, but my son and I were there to watch the Knicks spank the Denver Nuggets.  I saw they were going to be in town and I'm glad we went. It was a short ride and we avoided rush hour traffic on a Friday night despite having some rain, sleet and snow showers.

It's always an odd feeling when you walk into someone else's arena but we felt right at home. We were surprised how many Knick fans were there wearing hats and shirts.  As the Knicks kept pulling away there were more and more cheers from Knick fans.

It was a sellout crowd of just under 20,000.  I couldn't help but notice the amount of alcohol in the arena.  It seemed that most people were drinking and I even had a sip of beer.  My son suggested it so I could say I had some beer.  I wasn't impressed with the beer, I never have been.

The Knicks won 142-103, beating a good basketball team.  142 points is a lot of points for a basketball team to score and we enjoyed every basket.  Since the game wasn't close, fans were leaving early which made our trip home easier.

My dad was a big Knick fan and he would have enjoyed the game too.
